I am an honours graduate in fine-art and postgraduate in art education, have over 30yrs experience in teaching art/design/pottery to secondary level also
at 3rd level,vocational training, in-service training for teachers , recreational classes and art therapy.
Certificated in training excellence from FAS organisation.
I ran my own small ceramics business from 1989-2008 making innovative designs for home interiors /ceramic sculpture, outlets included Design Centre Kilkenny, Kilkenny Shop Dublin and Liberty's, Regent Street.
Commissions made for former president of Ireland ,Mary Robinson, Bibi Baskin, Mary Coughlan TD , James McDaid TD, Gerry Robinson(ex Granada TV),Electra Marconi and the Israeli Ambassador to Ireland.
Runner-up in Donegal County Enterprise Board Business Awards 1997.
I used my own poetry in ceramics and paintings from 2001 and am now concentrating on writing and illustration.
My artwork has been included in various exhibitions in Ireland from 1988 -2008 including the Crafts Council of Ireland (Bodyforms)1994 ,the Glebe Gallery Open Exhibition (County Donegal) and I opened a small gallery in Letterkenny in 2011.
Currently I'm located at Ray Bridge in wild and beautiful Donegal and working on various writing projects including short stories ,poetry and illustration .Ideas are inspired by the idiosyncratic side of everyday life and its many quirks
